Students of the August 2023 intake have received certificates in Administrative Officers Law Course, after going through seven weeks of studies.
The award ceremony, which was held at Kampala Campus, was officiated by Mrs Annette Karungi Mutabingwa, who represented the Director. She congratulated the students for achieving this milestone and encouraged them to effectively represent Law Development (LDC) in their workplaces.
“You are our ambassadors and you carry the DNA of LDC; so when you go back to your workplaces, let your colleagues confirm that there has been value addition. Start doing things differently because you have been exposed to lots of legal terminologies and principles,” said Mrs Mutabingwa.
She added that at LDC, we pride in ourselves as an institution that excels in legal training. Mrs Mutabingwa reminded the 106 students about LDC’s annual theme which is: Excellence. Always.
The Head, Department of Law and Continuing Legal Education, Mr Precious Ngabirano, thanked the lecturers for making the course lively and practical.
“I believe you have appreciated the legal principles and at a personal level, they will help you in the way you operate within your organisations. I remind you that when you learn the law, you fear the law costs,” said Mr Ngabirano.
He revealed that the next Certificate in Administrative Officers Law Course intake will be conducted in Mbarara and Mbale on 6th April, 2024 respectively. The course is now tenable from all our campuses.
The Class President, Mr Richard Jomeo Komakech, said that pursuing this course at LDC is a privilege because of the good reputation of the Centre.
“I hope that lessons from the course will clear our sight, and awaken us to respect and value people despite their uniqueness,”
