LDC Lecturers trained in pedagogy

The Law Development Centre (LDC) has held a two day refresher training to equip its lecturers with modern methods and practice of teaching.
The training, also known as pedagogy, took place on 13th and 14th September, 2024 at Kampala Campus.

The lecturers were trained in content delivery, classroom management, being a facilitator of knowledge,  supporting students to develop critical thinking and aligning the institution’s teaching approaches with contemporary demands in the legal profession among others.

This initiative is part of LDC’s broader commitment to maintaining high educational standards and producing competent legal practitioners. The Director LDC, Dr Pamela Tibihikirra-Kalyegira, reaffirmed LDC’s dedication to capacity building and innovation in legal education.

“We are committed to improving staff motivation in terms of compensation, welfare and offering a conducive working environment,” said Dr Pamela Tibihikirra-Kalyegira. The training was attended by over 160 lecturers and the lead facilitators were: Dr. Gillian Kasirye and Mr. Nelima Nelson.
